Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 2026-09-18
1. What this document is
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) expands section 6 of the Terms of Service for artiogen.ai and app.artiogen.ai and forms part of them. It binds every User from the moment the Terms are accepted. Capitalised terms have the meaning given to them in the Terms; in the event of any conflict, the Terms prevail.
The AUP applies to prompts and other Input, to Output, and to the way the Service is used — whether or not the material is published outside the Service.
2. Prohibited content
Material involving minors. Creating, processing or distributing material that sexualises or exploits minors is prohibited absolutely and without exception, including drawn, stylised and fully generated material, as well as the sexualisation of any character who appears to be a minor. No consent and no exception applies to this rule.
Sexual content. The Service is not intended for adult content. Pornographic and erotic material, and sexualised nudity, are prohibited — including where they depict adults only, fictional characters or people who do not exist, and regardless of the consent of anyone depicted.
The boundary we apply:
| Prohibited | Permitted |
|---|---|
| Nudity or partial nudity framed sexually, underwear or swimwear framed the same way, the body presented as sexual content | Clothed figures, portraits, fashion, and the body in sport, medical, educational and non-sexual artistic contexts |
| Sexual acts, fetish material, the suggestion of a sexual act | A kiss, an embrace, closeness and relationships without sexual content |
| Sexualisation of any character who appears to be a minor — without exception | — |
It is also prohibited to create, process or distribute:
- non-consensual intimate content, sexual violence or other content violating the consent of the person depicted;
- unlawful content or material facilitating crime, fraud, phishing or attacks on systems;
- content inciting violence, hatred, discrimination or self-harm;
- defamatory, harassing content or material violating privacy, image rights or personal rights;
- material infringing copyright, trade marks, trade secrets or other third-party rights;
- impersonation or material misleading others about its authenticity;
- special-category data unless the Service expressly permits it for a particular function;
- material serving biometric profiling, surveillance or discriminatory decision-making prohibited by law.
The image or personal data of a real person must not be submitted without a required legal basis or consent. Realistic artificially created or manipulated material must be labelled as such where required by law, particularly when a deep fake is published.
3. Prohibited use of the Service
- circumventing safeguards, limits, moderation or Credit accounting;
- security testing without the Provider's prior consent;
- sharing, lending or reselling access to an Account;
- automation outside an official API, if made available;
- activity that burdens the Service beyond ordinary use, including placing Generations in bulk to exhaust resources.
4. How we enforce this
The Provider may screen Input automatically before a Generation is placed and before Credits are charged. A rejected prompt is not charged and is not sent to the Model provider. The rejection message does not identify which rule applied — otherwise the rules could be mapped by trial and error. The absence of screening, or Input passing it, does not mean the Input or Output complies with this AUP; the prohibitions apply whether or not a filter acted.
Automatic screening, where it is in use, is the first filter, not the only one. The Provider may stop a Generation, restrict features, suspend or close an Account where the AUP is breached, on the terms of sections 11 and 12 of the Terms. Where the breach is the User's, Credits and fees are not refundable to the extent permitted by law.
A prompt passing the check is neither permission to publish nor a warranty that the Output is lawful. Assessing the legality, accuracy and suitability of Output before using it remains with the User (section 3 of the Terms).
5. Reporting violations
Report AUP violations to support@artiogen.ai. A report should describe the material or behaviour, give its address or identifier where known, and state the grounds for the report. The Provider confirms receipt and informs the reporter of the outcome. A User whose material or Account is affected by an action may appeal to the same address. Section 11 of the Terms describes the reporting and appeal process.
6. Independence from Model creators
The Service is an independent product. The Provider is not affiliated with the creators or owners of the Models, does not act on their behalf and is not authorised, sponsored or endorsed by them. Model names and the names of their creators are trade marks of their respective owners and are used descriptively only, to indicate which Model performs a Generation (section 3 of the Terms). The terms of a particular Model, shown before a Generation is placed, apply alongside this AUP.
7. Changes to this AUP
This AUP changes on the terms that apply to the Terms of Service (section 16 of the Terms). The effective date of the current version appears in the heading of this document.
